Welcome to The Shakespeare Post’s re-launch. The new site is designed to better serve you, the reader, by making stories easier to find, read and share. When I launched the Post earlier this year, it was simply as an aggregator of Shakespeare news from the Internet. It soon became clear that something more was needed to adequately serve the community and the Post has evolved to meet that need. As it developed, it also became clear that a more robust website was necessary to accommodate to the Post’s growth.
The mission of The Shakespeare Post is be the most complete, accessible and up-to-date source of news on the web about the performance and study of the works of William Shakespeare, his contemporaries and the times in which they lived. The redesign in just one part of my commitment to continually improve the breadth, depth and quality of reporting on the Post. I hope to continue to develop the website and add new features and resources in the coming months and years in pursuit of that goal.
Your feedback is crucial to the Post’s continued success and I encourage you to contact me regularly and let me know how I can improve the site.
The new Shakespeare Post was designed and built by Blueprint Design Studio in Chicago, Illinois. The team at Blueprint worked very quickly to make the new site a reality and I would like to thank Michael, Trea and Adam for their hard work. I especially want to thank Adam, who gave up much of his Independence Day holiday to get the site up and working and answer dozens of my e-mails in the process.
